Founded in 1975 as a specialty mechanical services contractor, Capron Company's early adoption of electronic control solutions and engineering expertise encouraged the shift into providing high quality technical services to the local building industry.

In the 1980's Capron Company, Inc. became increasingly involved in the installation and service of building control systems and was an early leader in applying electronic direct digital control solutions for commercial buildings. Capron Company was the first control system contractor in the Baltimore/Washington area to market distributed direct digital controls (DDC) at the zone level. This early adoption of electronic control solutions provided the engineering expertise for widespread application of communication DDC zone controllers.

Advancements in DDC technology and programming tools in the 1990's allowed the company to tackle increasingly complex applications beyond standard office building designs. Capron Company, Inc. soon became known for it's unique approach to laboratory and environmentally sensitive applications.

Capron Company, Inc. now represents several high-tech and specialty controls and equipment manufacturers and can readily incorporate the best technology for our client's applications. Our strong engineering and application expertise along with our fully trained staff for each of our product lines enables us to maintain a strong position in the demanding laboratory and manufacturing markets.

Depending on the scope of a project, Capron Company, Inc. has fully trained staff to provide engineering services, electrical installation, UL-listed custom control panels and HVAC service. Our project teams closely monitor the status of each project to insure that Capron Company's quality assurance standards are met.

Throughout years of steady growth, the company has maintained its HVAC service roots, expanding its service offering to include control systems and comprehensive engineering services. Capron Company, Inc. is currently headquartered north of Washington, DC in Rockville, Maryland with an office and field staff of approximately 50 employees.
